One Thing I Hate about WordPress

April 30, 2008

I’ve been using wordpress for a while now… before wordpress I was using Blogger.  The only reason I switched is because of the ease to create new pages within your blog (/about) however there is one thing that really drives me crazy, and I don’t understand it.  Blogger would let me edit my html until the cows came home, and it gave me the ability to make my blog my own, as opposed to looking like everyone elses. Why is it that wordpress can’t offer this for free also?? why do I have to pay 15 bucks if I want my site to be different???  I know 15 bucks isn’t much, but still, blogger can do it for free, why cant wordpress?

Advice From My Dad

My Dad sent this advice to me today…

Do you Twitter???

April 30, 2008

I’m new to twitter… to be totally honest, I’m not really sure the purpose.. other than letting stalkers know what your up to minute by minute… I started twittering (is that a word??) a week or so ago, and I can go to the site and update it, or I have an application on my computer that I can type from… I can also text from my phone right to twitter…

My understanding… there are some people out there who want to know when your driving down the street, taking a crap, or making dinner… so twitter is to let them know that…. one thing I do like is when I twitter, my facebook status changes to whatever I twitter, which is handy, because a lot more people go to my facebook than there would be on my twitter page.. I do also have it set up on my site on the right side that the twitter box reads the RSS feed and updates that, which I suppose is handy.. but like I said, it really it’s kind of silly unless you like stalkers.. I do have some people who follow me on twitter, which basically means (i think) that they receive updates whenever I send one to twitter…

Do you twitter?? Have you found it useful??? why do you twitter??? have you ever heard of twitter???
