Well it wont be a few of my favorite things, just one… I have a lot of favorites, but a recent purchase and internet search brought on this post.
I absolutely LOVE pawn shops. They are by far one of my favorite things in the world. You may be thinking o yourself, but pawn shops are disgusting, its true they are, but the fact is, you can get SO much stuff in them. A variety of people sell stuff to pawn shops, some of those are: drug dealers, or drug users, they sell their stuff so they can get money for their next stuff…. and no I’m not naive, I know they sell other peoples stuff too. People who have run out of money, they take their stuff, cash it in, then they have money. Teens who decided that they didn’t like “this” hobby anymore, so they take their stuff their and sell it off. And then regular joes, who just have stuff to get rid of and figure, i could throw it out, or i could get a it of money for it.

Well I am still without internet at the office, which of course means that I have been working out of home for the past few weeks (the internet hopefully will be resolved by the end of this week)…
So this week I was just getting really tired of being at home, and not getting a whole lot of work done because I could just turn the TV on and watch that and get totally side tracked, so I decided to drop an email to our new local fair trade coffee shop called Amazing Coffee. I came to amazing coffee when it first opened, and never came back, just wasn’t my sort of thing (i think I just got a coffee that I didnt like).
In the email I simply asked the question “do you guys have free wifi” expecting the answer to be no, because this town just isn’t in tune with technology, and for people to offer FREE wifi was just crazy talk in this neck of the woods… well a couple hours later I got an email back from the owner that simply said “we sure do”.
So today, here I am, sitting at Amazing Coffee, enjoying the coffee this time, and am on their free wifi that I found out was just installed. As I sit here, the thought that crosses my mind is, why can small little locally owned, small business Amazing Coffee, offer free wifi but multi million dollar Starbucks cant?????
